Mid-process

I spent for. ev. ver. trying to visualize some sort of cohesive narrative for this idea of accumulating water. I have been reading a bit about Andrew Goldsworthy, and his time-sensitive sculptures. I've been wanting to experiment in that kind of process for awhile but until now, had no real inspiration.

I wanted to make a sculpture that would die, in a way.

I chose to use clay is because clay holds that kind of symbolic power, the ability to be formed and destroyed.

I chose to use the image of Greenman to directly represent an icon of resurrection.

This project would be an experiment with my relationship with material and my actions.
